I just realized that I'm the only one posting any fanfiction here.
Oh well.
Harvey and the twins had been working on an experimental film all week.
It was pretty much what you'd expect in film school, complete with no color.
The trio had just finished filming the first scene and wanted to show Harvey's parents. "My Dad went to film school," said Harvey, "so I'd really like to hear what an expert thinks of our film."
"Harvey," informed Fee, "He dropped out after a year and a half." Harvey was too excited to listen. "Fee, could you fetch a blank VHS tape so that we can transfer this footage?" he asked, "I think we have some in the cabinet."
Fee couldn't believe what she just heard. "VHS? Really? Why not DVD? Or better yet, a computer or USB." (she sure did know a fair bit about modern technology for someone who spent more than half her life living in the woods). "I want this film to have more of a classic feel to it, so our first copy will be on VHS." said Harvey.
Fee went to the cabinet under the TV and grabbed the first VHS tape she saw, she noticed a label but didn't bother reading it. She just put the tape into a VCR connected to Harvey's computer and the footage started transferring.
That afternoon, the whole family sat down to watch.
"It's a real honor to have our movie viewed by someone who went to film school." said Harvey, admiring his dad.
"Well, what can I say?" replied Irving, "I know what goes on in the media." "Irving," said Miriam, "You dropped out of film school after a year and a half and you're just NOW getting mad at google plus." "Not now honey," interrupted Irving, "the movie's starting."
The film started with a wide angle shot of Fee standing in the middle of a field, wearing a scarf.
Then it cut to another wide angle shot of a field only this time, it was Foo and he was wearing Irving's old hoodie.
Then it cut to a close up of Fee's face.
"Smoking..."
Then it cut to a close up of Foo's face.
"...Cigarettes"
Then, it cut to the two of them staring at each other as they started to (attempt to) speak in unison.
"The end of life, the beginning of........death.............................Are we rolling?"
".....Oh, uh, life, the beginning of death.........yeah, death."
Then is just cut to a panning shot of Foo chasing a squirrel and then it cut to black.
"It's still a work in progress," said Harvey once the video had ended, "so what did you guys think?"
"Well, I really liked the style you were going for." said Miriam.
"Also, that's a very good moral you have going on." added Irving.
Suddenly, the static stopped and some more footage started playing and when it did, everyone was in shock at what it was playing.
It turns out that may not have been a blank tape that Fee grabbed after all.
"You may now kiss the bride."
